Scrollback is a website that turns an exported WhatsApp chat into a readable story — statistics, awards, a verdict and a light-hearted roast. These terms apply whenever you use it.
You do not need an account. You open the site, select a chat export from your own device, and the page builds a story from it in your browser.
You are responsible for what you choose to analyse and for anything you choose to share afterwards.
Everything Scrollback produces is generated automatically from counts and timings in your chat file. It is written to be entertaining. It may be inaccurate, unflattering or simply wrong, and it is not advice of any kind — personal, psychological, relational or otherwise. Treat it as a joke that happens to use your data.
Some screens may require a one-time payment. Prices are shown on the site before you pay and may change at any time. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never receive or store your card details. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Scrollback is provided as it is, without guarantees that it will always work, always be available, or correctly read every chat format. We may change, pause or discontinue it at any time without notice.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Scrollback is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
